We reported a while back about how NVIDIA has sped up the process of its 80nm circuits and now a Chinese site has come across an XFX GeForce 7600GT, which is based on the new core and simply tested it. The most obvious difference between the new and old 7600GT is higher frequencies; 700MHz at the core and 1800MHz with the memories. The older cards are running at “only” 560MHz GPU and 1400MHz memory. They’ve compared it to a 7600GT and big brother 7900GS and the fact is that the latter is pretty busy staying ahead of little brother. The older 7600 is left far behind in many of the tests.
