NVIDIA continues to relase new graphcis circuits and a clear sign that the laptop market has practically caught up to the desktop market is the frequency new components are arriving. NVIDIA has also made it a rule to launch a mobile circuit short after that it has launched a new circuit for the desktop market. Now it has updated its mobile flagship, GeForce Go 7900 GTX, with a new model; GeForce Go 7950 GTX. Just as the name implies there is little separating the two and Go 7950 GTX only has a higher frequency than the previous top model.
GeForce Go 7900 GTX works at 500MHz/1200MHz while NVIDIA’s new creation GeForce Go 7950 GTX runs at 575MHz/1400MHz. This should result in a nice boost with most 3D applications and these are the kind of machines NVIDIA is going for.
“NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) has once again raised the bar for notebook graphics performance with the release of the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics processing unit (GPU)—the world’s fastest notebook GPU on the marketi. Notebooks with the new GPU are available for order from select top gaming notebook makers in North America and Europe. Gamers can experience the power of this new GPU in Dell notebooks at DigitalLife 2006 in New York City.”
GeForce Go 7950 GTX will appear in computers from several manufacturers soon, amongst others Dell and Rock. More information about the circuit and what manufacturers that will use it can be found at NVIDIA’s website. Those who want a preview of GeForce Go 7950 GTX should head over to Legit Reviews.
