NVIDIA will launch G80 very soon now and if the information which has appeared is correct it will be a DirectX 10 card with unified shaders. The Inquirer now reports that NVIDIA is currently working hard on creating new circuits based on G80 for the broader and cheaper segments below GeForce 8800GTX and 8800GTS. The circuits will most likely be named G8X accordingly and replace today’s 7600 and 7300 series, but with DirectX 10 support and unified shaders. We even hear rumors of cards at sub-$100, which isn’t really that hard to buy considering the fact that NVIDIA most likely wants to move most of its products over to the new architecture as soon as possible.
