NVIDIA has through its VP Jen-Hsun Huang announced that the graphics circuit manufacturer is working on integrated graphics solutions for Intel’s processor platform. Exciting news which strengthens the rumors that have been going around about a tighter cooperation with Intel, now that AMD has acquired ATI. Any details about the new chipsets are not available as of today, but they are under development and shouldn’t be that far off. At the same time NVIDIA has revealed that it is working on nine (!) different G80-based circuits. Graphics circuits which share the same base architecture as the impressive GeForce 8800 series.

We’re eager to find out more about what G80 solutions NVIDIA is currently working on. Especially since it has now started to discuss whether integrated graphics circuits on motherboards could be dedicated to physical effects, to complete an external graphics card. Something which would really add value to an integrated graphics circuit on the on the motherboard.
