We’ve already reported about rumors that claimed that NVIDIA is working on a new version of its SLI technology, which would sport more cards. One of the main attraction of the SLI technology is the support for more than 2 graphics processors and even if this has already been done with Quad SLI, this new version is suppose to be a more commercial solution. The next unofficial information about NVIDIA’s new SLI technology has now appeared and according to The Inquirer NVIDIA is focusing on a 3-way SLI, simply using three cards instead of two. The technology will also allow 4-way configurations but NVIDIA is said to be focusing on its 3-way solution first of all.

According to these sources NVIDIA will reveal the technology at the end of February and if this correct we’re eager to see how it will solve this. As most of you most likely know both graphics cards and processors use an even number of cores when increasing the parallel power and we are wondering if a 3-way solution was any harder to develop.
