NVIDIA launches GeForce 6800 GS AGP next week

GeForce 6800 GS was well received when the circuit was launched about a month ago. NVIDIA launched a circuit with very good value which seemed to be a great mid end card before the Christmas shopping. A problem was however was that many in this segment don’t have the new PCI Express system but still relies on AGP. This was something NVIDIA promised to solve and it quickly posted information that spoke of a AGP-version of 6800 GS before Christmas. Now it seems that the time has come as The Inquirer reports that NVIDIA will start shipping the AGP version already next week. As it use NV40 circuits you don’t need a PCIe->AGP bridge which makes it easier for NVIDIA to meet the demand.
