Many of our readers are interested to hear about what is happening on the linux scene. Something hasn’t been working all that well though is the gaming mainly because of the rather poor driver support. nVidia has promised to spend more time with Linux with future drivers and at Phoronix they’ve now published an article that tests different nVidia drivers for the Linux-platform. It has tested all drivers in the 1.0-7XXX series (1.0-7167, 1.0-7174, 1.0-7664, 1.0-7667, and 1.0-7676). Unfortunately the coming Rel80 drivers aren’t available for Linux yet, but is expected to arrive at the end of October.
