Nvidia has released its first WHQL GeForce drivers for Microsoft next operating system Windows 8. The graphics card maker has posted GeForce 302.82 WHQL on its wesite, a driver that has been officially approved by Microsoft for use in the Windows 8 Release Preview.
GeForce 302.82 WHQL dones’t bring any major updates or improvements over the previous unofficial beta driver 302.80, but is just a similar driver with Microsoft’s official certification for Windows 8 Release Preview. The release information does mention an improved control panel for Stereoscopic 3D in Windows 8.
The new driver does not support Windows 7 or Windows Vista and is recommended by NVIDIA for anyone running the preview version of Windows 8.
