Antec has released its very latest case, Antec Solo II, what it calls a smaller mid-tower. Solo II has a large focus on an elegant, stylish and quiet design, and according to the company it has been designed after the Sonata series and feed-back from customers that have requested a more customizable case.

Antec Solo II is the successor to the old warrior Antec Solo, and use a design that will be easy to work with for the end user, be quiet and have room for the longest graphics cards on the market. We also see noise killing material, dust busters and tool-free mounting of harddrives with rubber dampers.

Antec_Solo_IIaThe side of the Solo II case and the top is made from 1 mm SECC / polycarbonate tailored for absorbing noise, while the rest of the case is made from anodised aluminum with a ”black piano” finish. Also the sides of the case comes with foam for absorbing noise. The two front fans have built in dust filters that easy to remove, and all fans are attached with rubber supports to absorb vibrations.

The front panel has two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 and in and outputs audio, about what you would expect from a modern case. The harddrive mounting has also been designed to absorb noise, but also allow tool-free mounting of harddrives. The slots have subber supports to reduce vibrations, and are compaitble with 3.5″ and 2.5″ units. There is room for installing up to three harddrives no matter size, and instead the limited space is used for two 5.25″ slots. There is a slot dedicated for a SSD under the harddrive bay.

According to Antec the case is designed and geared for enthusiasts and performance users, but will also fit gamers. The case will be available in stores shortly and cost around 90€.
