Arctic Cooling has launched a successor to its MX-1 cooling paste, MX-2. Just like the MX-1 this is a non-metallic paste designed for the high-end users that demand the very best from their cooling and hardware. As it contains no metal particles you don’t have to worry about electrical conductivity, although it’s very rare that a metallic compounds actually shortens the current. According to the graphs supplied by Arctic Cooling the MX-2 outperforms the MX-1 with a few degrees, same goes for the Arctic Silver 5.

Arctic cooling also says that the paste ”does not show decreasing performance over time, does not need to be reapplied and has a durability of at least 8 years.” The paste will be available in stores today and cost $7.95/€5.95.
