Small preview imageASUS A8N-SLI Premium is the latest addition to ASUS mainboard series for the Athlon 64-platform. The mainboard uses nVidia’s nForce4 SLI-chipset but the difference compared to its older brother is the cooling of the northbridge. You could call it an ASUS-version of ABIT Silent OTES where it has chosen to use passive cooling that with the help of heatpipes is cooled of with a small radiator and the CPU-fan. ASUS has called its solution AI Cool-Pipe says it will offer better cooling than heatsink with fans and at the same time be completely quiet.


ASUS A8N-SLI Premium has other than that very similar specifications compared to its precedors and among others the software-based ”SLI-selector” which means you don’t have to alter anythin physical on the mainboard to enable/disable SLI. Other specifications can be found below;
