ASUS U46Sv is one of the latest ultramobile notebooks and just as it should it brings maximal performance and battery time in a slim package. ASUS U46Sv builds on a record-thin 14″ panel only 5.5mm thick, which makes it possible to keep a profile of 2.5cm even though it has a Core i5 CPU and GeForce GT 540M GPU.
ASUS U46Sv will ship with Intel Core i5-2410M CPU at 2.3 GHz, 2.9 GHz with Turbo Boost. The two cores (with HyperThreading) gets support from a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M GPU with 1GB graphics memory. It has 4GB RAM and 500GB harddrive.
ASUS superthin 14″ panel has 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and comes with a relatively thin frame. Above it we find a 0.3 megapixel web camera and on the back a series of power, such as USB 3.0, HDMI and card reader.
ASUS U46Sv measures 33.3cm x 24.5cm x 2.46cm-2.70cm. It weighs 2.08 kg, with 4 cells battery. We suspect you will need to upgrade to the 8 cell battery to reach the specified battery time of 10 hours.
ASUS U46Sv will be found in stores by the end of the month, and cost less than 900€.
