Google is the undisputed giant among search engines and Microsoft is actually third after Yahoo!. When Microsoft announced the new Bing search engine back in May it was hoping to gain on Google and now that new numbers for the search engine market has been presented Microsoft sees a positive trend. Since the launch of Bing Microsoft has increased its shares by 1.9 percentages, up to 9.9% in the USA. The number also show that Google has increased by 0.4 percentages to 65.4%.

The loser is Yahoo! that has lost 2.1 percentages since May, but also AOL has dropped. We’re quite certain the numbers would look quite different for Europe and especially up here in the North, but it sure looks like Bing has pushed Microsoft in the right direction. Though still far from being anywhere near Google since it just keeps plucking its own partner Yahoo!.
