Crytek was planning to launch the first 3D game in 2010. Now that the game developer has postponed the launch of Crysis 2 till mars 2011 it also revealed that future games will be coming in full 3D.

Crytek says that starting with Crysis 2 it will profile its games as 3D games and that it will really go all out to develop its graphics engines and games to use the technology as much as possible, which will make users truly realize the advantages of stereoscopic 3D.

”But we also want to make sure that it’s for a reason – we want to turn the TV as well as the monitor in to a window into a new world. Once people play in 3D the way we’ve demonstrated, I don’t think you’ll want to not play in 3D ever again.”

Crysis 2 in turn will become a taste of Crytek’s 3D priling adventure in Q1 2011, not just for PC but also PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
