Serial ATA has really found its place on the PC market the last year or so and SATA harddrives are the only ones that matters today basically. What we’re now waiting for are optical drives, which still seems to be stuck with the Parallell ATA interface in most cases. Most people knows that SATA is an interface that both allows for higher theoretical transfer rates than PATA, while cables and connectors are considerably more convenient.
