Intel has a couple of new processors coming and beside the unlocked Lynnfield Core i7-875K Intel is expected to present a new LGA1156 flagship, Core i7 880. The processor is slated for Q2 and will operate at 3.06GHz and be rated 95W. Turbo Boost will push the frequency up to 3.73GHz in single threaded applications.

The new flagship will succeed Core i7 870 that costs around $220 today. The MSRP of Core i7 880 will be 562 USD, but the actual store prices will probably be slightly lower.

Core i7 870 will be taken down a peg and replace Core i7 860, and get a new stepping. The price of Core i7 870 will be reduced to nearly half and store prices should land around $250 where Core i7 860 is today (even lower if you’re in luck).

The amusing bit is that Core i7 875K with its unlocked multiplier and same clock frequency as 870 (2,93GHz) is expected to cost just a few tens more, making it a highly attractive target for enthusiasts and overclockers.
