Koenigsegg launched its two first laptops already in October of last year and back then it was the models CCR and Ghost we saw. The latter was only available to those who already owned a Koenigsegg, the car, which has made it difficult to find the specifications for it. The first on the other hand, which we pressume is not quite as fast, comes with Intel’s Pentium M processor 2,13 GHz, Intel 915GM/915PM, 1 GB RAM, 80GB harddrive and NVIDIA’s GeForce Go 6600 handling the 15.4″ screen. No real monster but still a Koenigsegg. Now another cheaper version has appeared in Swedish stores, the faster CCR costs 2287.5 euro, and this new model is, of course, a a bit slower; CC8S.

CC8S was actually the car model before the CCR, which makes it all a bit backwards, but it just might a reply to the current laptop trend. Anyway, CC8S comes with an Intel Pentium M 735 1.7GHz, Intel 915GM/915PM, NVIDIA GeForce 6200, 512MB RAM and 80 GB harddrive, except from the design then. Right now this piece costs 12,000 SEK in store, but can also be ordered from Koenigsegg’s website, at a slightly higher price though; 1587.5 euro. In the end the need for this Koenigsegg is still pretty great and even though it isn’t a genuine sports car it is still a Koenigsegg.
