MSI R5870 Lightning retail box shot

We’ve been covering the development of MSI’s custom version of ATI Radeon HD 5870 grafikkort. MSI R5870 Lightning will debut at 1GHz GPU clock frequency sporting 15-phase power suuply and overall powerful components to make it every overclockers dream. If you don’t believe us you can always ask overclocker Hipro5 that claimed the 3DMark06 world record with the GPU clocked at  1404MHz.

We still don’t know the exact date the card will hit stores or what the price will be, but we know have a first glimpse of the card and retail box courtesy of ait-forum.de. Hopefully this means the card is ready to be released.
