Nexus has announced a new series of CPU coolers called XiR. It contains two models, one made from pure copper called XiR-3500, and one made from pure aluminum called XiR-2300. The material is what separates the two as they share design and fan. The 92mm fan is temperature-controlled and runs at 1200 to 2500 RPM (+/- 10%). This will result in a noise level of 15 ~ 24 dB(A). They have four 6mm heatpipes going from the base up to the quite large heatsink.

The material has an impact on the weight though, the pure copper model weighs 736g (25.96 oz) while the pure aluminum model weighs only 382g (13.5 oz). They measure 106x122x111 mm (4.17×4.80×4.37 inch) and fits socket 775, AM2, 754, 939 and 940.

They’re already available in stores and costs around €49 and €39 respectively.
