GeForce 8600 will be the series that replaces the current GeForce 7600 series and thus become the new mid-range series of NVIDIA’s graphics card assortment. These cards are expected to arrive later this year and now OC Workbench has come across pictures of both GeForce 8600GTS and 8600GT. The first has a GPU clocked at 675MHz and GDDR3 memories at 2GHz, while the latter will be clocked at 540MHz GPU and 1400MHz memory. Both cards will most likely be displayed at CeBIT and a possible launch date seems to be May 1st.
8600GTS will cost about $200-250, while junior 8600GT will cost somewhere around $150-180.
