Elpida supply several major memory manufacturers with DDR3 RAM modules targeting the enthusiast market. Over the last couple of months there have been many different reports that indicate that Elpida’s memory circuits are problematic and makes the modules stop working, or simply result in lock-ups and stability problems. It is a relatively small percentage of Elpida’s ”Hyper” circuits that suffer from these problem, but at the end of last week both Corsair and OCZ said that it has stopped selling Elpida-based modules until the problems have been resolved.

Corsair was first to announce that its lifetime warranty still applies and the memory modules that it has now stopped selling is/was a part of the Dominator-GT family.
