OCZ may have killed off the DRAM despartment to focus more on SSDs, but the company is still developing new power supplies where it has now launched a new series with high efficiency and 80 Plus Gold certification. The top model offers up to 1250 watt and does it with 92% efficiency.

The OCZ ZX series comes in three flavors; 850 watt, 1000 watt and 1250 watt. They are fully modular (even the ATX connector) and deliver the max output on a single +12V rail and a a load of power connectors. All models sport a temperature controlled 140mm fan with sturdy bearings for minimal noise.

The ZX Series provides universal input and active PFC (Power Factor Correction) to effectively regulate input voltage and maintain a stable supply of power in an industry-standard ATX form factor to accommodate virtually all computer towers. With sheer power combined with maximum efficiency, the ZX Series is backed by a 5-Year warranty.

OCZ is expected to ship the new ZX series soon, the prices are unknown though.
