Palit launches GeForce 8600 and 8500 cards with 512MB memory

Palit GeForce 8600GTS Super, GeForce 8600GT Super and GeForce 8500GT Super are all based on NVIDIA’s latest mid-range architectures G84 and G86. We’ve seen how Gigabyte chose to equip its cards with passive coolers, while XFX and MSI launched overclocked versions to make them stands out from the enormous crowd of cards that was launched. Palit has chosen a different angle though, but equipping its cards with more graphics memory, twice the amount; 512MB. Whether this will affect the performance in any way remains to be seen, but the potential is certainly there.
