Palit GeForce GTX260 Sonic 216SP är den senaste versionen av NVIDIAs GeForce GTX 260 grafikkrets som tillverkats med den nya 55nm tekniken. De 216 shader processorerna som finns i grafikkärnan har blivit mindre och detta drar ner både strömförbrukningen och värmeutvecklingen. Palit har trots detta slängt på en riktigt saftig kylning som med två stora fläktar ska hålla kortet svalt, även vid höga klockfrekvenser. Sonic betyder nämligen att kortet är överklockat från fabrik, runt 9% bättre prestanda utlovar man mot tidigare versioner av GeForce GTX 260.

Dual Fan Double Coolness:

Palit’s innovative dual fan cooling system for the GTX260 Sonic 216SP comes with two PWM(Pulse-Width Modulation) fans and three heat-pipes to provide high performance and a reliable cooling solution. The dual PWM fans are able to provide sufficient air flow to cool the GPU on the graphics quietly. The PWM fan created for both fans can adjust the fan speed depending on the GPU’s temperature allowing the GTX260 Sonic 216SP to run quietly.
