RAMBUS are to many mainly known for the failed cooperation they had with Intel for the first generation of Pentium 4 and they haven’t had it easy lately. They have been trying desperately to make companies use their XDR and Rambus memories, but the success is a bit absent. At the same they are in constant conflict with the pretty much every other memory manufacturer there is. They have sued Samsung, Hynix, Nanya, etc earlier and this time it is Micron that will know the wrath of RAMBUS. According to RAMBUS Micron has infringed on no less than 18 of the patents RAMBUS has. Wonder what the situation would be if RAMBUS spent as much time on selling their porducts as they did in court.
