Samsung Electronics is a very diverse company and its monitors is one of the most successful branches. Last year Samsung was the largest maker of monitors for the third year in a row with a record note of 17.9% of the market revenue. Samsung is said to have increased the lead for each year, from 1.5 percentages in 2007 to 2.5 percentages in 2008 and finally 5.1 percentages in 2009.
Samsung isn’t just turning the most money but is also selling the most monitors since it in 2009 held 15.9% of the total monitor market shipments, up 0.2 percentages from 2008.
It sold fewer monitors in 2009 though, only 160.2 million units, which was 6 million less than 2008. Out of these 99% were LCD monitors.
