Verbatim has decided to expand its lineup with new Sandforce based solutions. Verbatim SATA-III SSD is a SATA 6,0 Gbps series sporting Sandforce’s latest SF-2281 controller for good performance with data speeds up to 550 MB/s.
Verbatim sticks to the classic Sandforce ingredients and rolls out two new units in a new SSD series. The capacities will be 120 and 240 GB with sequential read speeds up to 550 MB/s and write speeds up to 510 MB/s. Verbatim specifies the random 4K write speed to 27,000 IOPS, which is considerably lower than the top models of the Sandforce segment.
Verbatim lures with TRIM, 2 year warranty and decent prices where the 120 GB costs 159€ and 240GB 299€.
