OCZ is one of the first manufacturers to launch products verified for NVIDIA’s dual-GPU solution SLI, but OCZ has taken i all one step further by launching a whole series of modules; OCZ NVIDIA SLI-Ready. To make the new series stand out from the rest it has designed a new black heatspreader with NVIDIA’s SLI-Ready logotype, an NVIDIA copy of OCZ’s ATI CrossFire modules more or less. The memory modules in OCZ’s new series has been tested thoroughly by NVIDIA and the first modules will be launched at 1066MHz and 900MHz.
OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 SLI-Ready Edition and OCZ DDR2 PC2-7200 SLI-Ready Edition are the names of the two first kits in OCZ’s new DDR2 memory series. Except from the different clock frequency the latencies are also varying, the top model is tested for 5-5-5-15 while the DDR2-900 modules have somewhat more aggressive latencies, 4-4-3-15. There is no information the price of OCZ’s new memory modules, but they should appear in stores soon.
