Det OCZ-ägda Hypersonic PC har tillkännagivigt en högst mobil, men samtidigt kraftfull, bärbar dator. Avenger är en 12″ notebook som huserar Intels senaste 45nm Core 2 processor, upp till 4GB DDR2-667 RAM, 320GB hårddisk (SSD är tillval) och Intels GM965 styrkrets med integrerad X3100 grafikkrets. Grafikkretsen är något av en besvikelse då detta är tänkt som en prestandaorienterad dator, men processorn kan kanske kompensera detta något. De tillgängliga modellerna är Core 2 Duo T8100 (2.1GHz, 3MB L2 cache) upp till Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB L2 cache).
“We listen closely to our customers, and it became clear that many of our customers wanted a notebook that offers the style and performance that Hypersonic is known for but was more portable,” commented Alessandro Gilligan, Systems Manager, Hypersonic PC. “The new Avenger 12 inch notebook is our smallest and lightest notebook to date, and offers a combination of Intel Core 2 performance in a surprisingly small and stylish form factor so consumers dont have to make sacrifices on when they are on the go.”
12.1″ displayen stödjer en upplösning på 1280×800 pixlar och har en glansig finish. Övriga features inkluderar trådlöst nätverk, 802.11 a/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, HD ljud och fem olika färger. Priserna ska starta på $1239 och man kan skapa sin egen modell av Avenger AG2 på Hypersonic PCs hemsida.
