OCZ PC2-9000 Titanium Alpha VX2 DFI Special is the short and concise name of OCZ’ latest high-end memory module. The new modules are a part of the manufacturer’s Titanium Alpha series and use the special chameleon XTC heatspreaders. What is so special about these memory modules is that they have been specially developed for DFI’s LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R motherboard. It’s not the first time OCZ cooperates with DFI and this time the result is DDR2-SDRAM specified at 1120MHz(!). A whole 9MHz higher than Corsair’s new flagship. Except from this specified frequency it has latencies at 5-5-5-15.

They are a bit higher than Corsair’s which you can check in our report of the Dominator series. To reach these specifications OCZ has chosen to feed the modules with a voltage of 2.4V and for the best results the memories should be used with DFI’s latest enthusiast motherboard. We take for granted that these modules will work with other boards as well but to DFI followers this should be an extra interesting alternative. Unfortunaltey there is no informations about availability or price but they should arrive soon with a rather high price tag.
