OCZ RevoDrive is far from the first Solid State Drive using the SandForce SF-1200 SSD processor, but it’s the first to pair the high-end memory controller with the more efficient PCI Express 2.0 interface.
RevoDrive doesn’t settle for one controller, OCZ has taken two SF-1200 processors and connected them in RAID 0 to maximize performance over the PCIe x4 interface that in theory can carry 2 Gigabyte data per second.
The advantage of such a solution is that performance will be about you would expect from two SandForce SF-1200 SSD drives in RAID, (500MB/s+ ?) while the cost will only be 10-20% higher than a sole SSD.
The drawback is a loss of TRIM, but speed freaks will probably do well without it.
