OpenBSD has now released version 4.1 of its BSD-based operating system. The update since 4.0 isn’t exactly revolutionizing, but there are still a lot of nice and highly appreciated changes and updates. Among others they’ve broadened the hardware support in many ways, including a support for some newer Intel, AMD and NVIDIA chipsets and their integrated IDE controllers. Pkg-config has been rewritten more or less completely and has become a lot easier to manage. This is just a drop in the ocean though and those of you who wants to know more about the updates should turn to the changelog. The distribution can be downloaded from one of the many FTPs listed by OpenBSD at its website.
