Intel recently launched its first unlocked budget processor, in China. Pentium E6500K has already proved its overclocking potential in early tests and now Asian overclocker DFORDOG has gone all the way with liquid nitrogen very unhealthy levels of voltage. With a feeding voltage of 1.8V the processor managed to reach 6004MHz on a Biostar TP45 HP motherboard. He achieved this with 353MHz bus frequency and 17x multiplier (11x stock).
Intel’s Pentium E6500K processor looks like a real nice budget model for overclockers and hopefully Intel will decide to make it available in the rest of the world as well, we can at least hope so.
