The Phenom II X6 pieces are starting to come together. The latest leak was done by Norwegian e-tailer Microplex.no. The store has listed the same two Phenom II X6 models as Advanti, Phenom II X6 1055T and Phenom II X6 1090T with price tags that matches those we got from Bahrain.
Perhaps even more interesting is that Microplex also lists a previous unknown specification, namely the dynamic overclocking mode. Microplex lsits the stock frequencies and a Turbo frequency where we see the following pattern.
Processor | Clock frequency |
Turbo | TDP | Price |
---|---|---|---|---|
Phenom II X4 965 BE | 4 x 3,4GHz | – | 125W | ~$160 |
Phenom II X6 1090T | 6 x 3,2GHz | 3,6GHz | 125W | ~ $299 |
Phenom II X6 1075T | 6 x 3,0GHz | ? | 125W | ? |
Phenom II X6 1055T | 6 x 2,8GHz | 3,3GHz | 125W | ~$199 |
Phenom II X6 1055T | 6 x 2,8GHz | ? | 95W | ? |
Phenom II X6 1035T | 6 x 2,6GHz | ? | 95W | ? |
We still have some question marks to straighten out in the table above, but would the new information be correct it looks like AMD isn’t using a linear scaling of the turbo frequency boost. The unlocked 1090T Black Edition models increases its clock frequency by 12% while the locked mid-range model 1055T boosts by nearly 18%.
The source may not be 100% reliable though, especially since Microplex says they will launch on March 25th, which sounds like a month early?
