PhysX physics processor integrated on to mainboard in the future?

PhysX is the name of AGEIA’s ohysics processor, also known as PPU (Physics Processing Unit), that will be the key for the next step in evolution of games. Advanced physical will create more realistic environments and to do that we need a dedicated physics processor. In an interview with AGEIA’s VP Manju Hegde they have admitted that PhysX could be integrated onto mainboards and that they are trying to come up with a solution for just that. But as of today we should perhaps first wait for the standalone card to appear, but as they are partners with ASUS who doesn’t fear unconventional products this might very well happen.
