The PPU PhysX will make it possible to make completely new effects in games and relieve both processor and graphic card from handling the very demanding physical effects. AGEIA the company behind PhysX has gotten yet another partner to distriubte this amazing citcuit across the market. ASUS has already decided to make PCI-cards with AGEIA’s PhysX-processor. Now it seems also graphic card-manufacturer BFG Technologies has signd a deal with AGEIA about doing the exact same thing. The cards will carry the PhysX-processor and 128MB RAM to store the huge amount of data that will be needed to handle the physcal effects. We are still waiting for the first real tests of PhysX even if we know nothing about the price of the cards from ASUS and BFG. BFG’s PhysX-card will show up at the end of the year wo we hope to hear more about this interesting solution then. Source: HardOCP
