Pioneer Elite BDH-94HD is the latest stationary Blu-ray player to arrive on the market and it shows that the Blu-ray camp will not rely solely on Sony’s PlayStation 3. Pioneer’s new creation is of the latest generation Blu-ray players and except from the support for the new HD video format, Pioneer Elite BDH-94HD also has an integrated network support and, of course, an HDMI output. The support for regular home networks means that the user doesn’t have to rely on Blu-ray or DVD movies. By connecting your BDH-94HD to a computer you can stream video and music, or even picture galleries, from the computer in HD.
“With IP networking and a new user interface, Pioneer makes it extremely easy for users to access and load protected content and even download new digital media files straight from their computer for immediate viewing through the player on a large flat screen television. It is compliant with Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), Windows PC’s using Windows Media Connect, and Microsoft’s playsforsure™ DRM technology.”
Just like previous Blu-ray players the price is an obstacle for most, the recommended price of Pioneer Elite BDH-94HD is $1,000 USD, which is quite a lot of of money.
