Pioneer is one of the rather few companies that are really betting on the PDP technology and its latest creation is of the eighth generation of plasma TVs. We can’t deny that PDP have been moving forward rapidly lately and Pioneer’s latest models certainly make one drool all over the place. Pioneer is beating the big drum in its latest press release announcing the new TVs as; The World’s best flat screen TV, and even if we can’t confirm this we have to say that they can’t be that far off. The top models measures 50″ and 60″, sport full HD resolution (1920×1080) and a contrast ratio of 20,000:1.
The new series also have a couple of smaller and cheaper models and measures 42″ and 50″. They sport XGA resolution (1024×768 and 1365×768 respectively) and a contrast ratio of 16,000:1. All models have been equipped with a DVB-T tuner, some are also available with an analog tuner instead. Prices are not available at this time, but that is perhaps for the best.
