PlayStation 3 has finally arrived in Europe and first shipment seems to contain a lot less consoles than first expected. About 15 000 consoles is expected to reach Sweden (+50 000 expected) and counting backwards from the 5% of Europe total which “we” usually get, this ends up at a total of 300 000 for Europe, which is far less than the one million Sony has promised. There are no concrete figures from Sony though, this is just simple mathematics. Sony has previously announced the list of compatible games for PlayStation 3 and all in all about 73% of all older games will work with the new console.
All of the Nordic consoles have been booked through preorders from retailers, which is hardly surprising. At the same time rumors have started circulating that the 20GB version may come to Europe.
