PlayStation 3 was as expected been displayed at Game Developer Conference last month and something that many was surprised by was that the SDK systems (Software Development Kit) Sony displayed did not use the HDMI interface. Something Sony has been hyping and will support resoulutions up to 1080p. You could observe PS3 systems that used the same A/V output that the PlayStation 2 has and one system used the S-Video output from a NVIDIA video card. But now it has been revealed that the one of the newer SDK systems actually has HDMI outputs and that these simply hadn’t been integrated into the earlier SDK systems. At HotHardware they’ve published some quite good evidence where you can actually see two HDMI outputs on the rear. Source: HotHardware
