Poet 6000 is a very special computer since it doesn’t require any conventional type of regular power source. With a regular computer we use outlets and power supplys but the Poet 6000 gets all the power it needs via PoE (Power over Ethernet). The computer is only 22mm thick and uses a TFT touchscreen at 6.4″. To reduce power consumption to the extreme, 13W, they’ve used AMD’s Geode-processor and thrown out the regular harddrive and replaced it with a flash memory. In other words it’s not the most powerful computer in the world but it impresses us in so many other ways, the Poet 6000.
