Graphics card maker PowerColor has already revealed three models based on AMD’s Radeon HD 4890 graphics card where it has experimented with the cooling. Everything from after-market heatsinks to water cooling has been available with cards from PowerColor and it has now decided to go with even more efficient cooling solutions, for its mid-range solutions. This will be accomplished together with ArcticCooling that will deliver coolers for PowerColor’s PCS series (Professional Cool Solution).

Partnership brings premium cooling solution to the mainstream segment

The special fan design avoids direct contact with high temperatures emanating from the heat sink, extending the life cycle of the cooling fan. Keeping fan noise at a minimum with PowerColor’s unique fan control technology, the fan speed automatically adjusts while it’s under idle, in 2D or 3D mode—helping to deliver the perfect heat dissipation, allowing a better user experience.
