AMD exclusive partner TUL Corp, behind the PowerColor brand, has announced the water-cooled Radeon HD 6990 made together with EKwaterblocks. Considering HD 6990 is literally one of the hottest cards we have seen, water cooling seems like a good idea.
PowerColor LCS HD 6990 comes with dual-BIOS and thus two BIOS circuits. The GPUs can thus be run at two different frequencies; 830 MHz / 800 MHz and 5000 MHz memory frequency. We see 4GB GDDR5 memory, which makes PowerColor’s version of HD 6900 look a lot like the reference card, sans the water block of course.
PowerColor LCS HD 6990 ships with 3/8″ and 1/2″ nozzles and the card should be available in stores at the end of the month. The price wasn’t revealed.
