PowerColor will together with Sapphire be one of the first video card manufacturers to launch a card for the consumer market with a HDMI connector. The card, which is based on the ATI Radeon X1600 circuit, will according to sources be slightly more expensive than its DVI equivalent, but then very little. According to The Inquirer a regular Radeon X1600 card costs $109 while a HDMI capable X1600 model will cost $119; a difference of $10. This of course a positive thing which means that you will not have to suffer economically to invest in a more future-proof video card. At the same time it is still uncertain whether PowerColor will send along a HDMI cable, something that otherwise would mean further costs, a couple of tens.
