PQI has announced the Phoenix series – Turbo Immortality edition, PQI’s alternative for the enthusiasts and overclockers. The kit consists of two 2GB modules working at DDR3-1600 speeds. PQI says that the modules can reach 1688MHz with 8-8-8-24 latencies at 1.54V. The modules use Elpida’s 70nm 1Gb modules. The modules are XMP certified, and will thus automatically overclock with a compatible chipset, Intel X38/X48. The high profile heatsinks will improve heat dissipation and have a quite neat paint job.
If you look closely, you’ll see that the sticker says 9-9-9-24, which we assume is on a non-XMP platform.
