PSP will be launched with a set of movies in Europe

Sony PSP is basically a portable gaming console and that Sony will offer a range of game titles at the launch in Europa in September is no surprise. But except for the 20 European games there will also be 10 movies available on PSP UMD-discs. In other terms Sony is betting big time on PSP’s multimedia properties. Several movie studios will release movies on UMD, e.g. Parmount, Buena Vista, Fox, Universal and Sony Pictures. Those of you who haven’t already imported a console, something Sony heavily opposes, can be certain that there will be a lot of material available for PSP when it arrives in September.
