Anyone following the flow of news can have missed that DRAM manufacturer Qimonda is in trouble. Even if Qimonda self says that this is largely just a reconstruction of the company and hopes that it will be back sooner or later, the outlook is not so good. Sources to Financial Times says that the company only has one month to find money to save the core of the company, otherwise the company will have to shut down. Possible buyers include some of the other major DRAM makers like Hynix, Samsung and others, which could get their hands on Qimonda’s technology and manufacturing at an affordable price.
