The rumors on the RV635 chip has been going around for some time, but the chip has been having a bit of an identity crisis, that is until now. HKEPC reports that the RV635 chip will become the Radeon HD 3600 series, sport 120 shader processors, 16 texture address unit, 8 texture filter unit, 4 ROPs and a 128 bit memory interface. There will be two versions, XT/3670 and Pro/3650. The 3670 will sport a GPU frequency of 800 MHz, while the 3650 has to settle for 600 MHz. The memory of each model be running at 1.6 GHz and 1 GHz respectively. Both card are expected to launch at the beginning of next year.
