Radeon HD 4850 prices are starting to appear in stores around the web. They are also well below that of the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price). The stores we’ve located around Europe all list Radeon HD 4850 for between 156-200 euro, with most somewhere in between, ~180 euro. This should translate roughly into $200, because of taxes and the weak dollar. This means that you will get two Radeon HD 4850 for the price of one GeForce GTX260, or three for the price of GeForce GTX 280. Unfortunately, it seems the launch has been postponed to the 23rd, which is a week later than expected, but still not unbearable as stories have it that Radeon HD 4870 will launch at the same time.
