Two new graphics cards from AMD have been spilled by Asian hardware sites. That information on computer components often first appears in Asia is not something irregular but with Radeon HD 4860 and HD 4750 there is a simple explanation. AMD is said to have developed the two exclusively for the Chinese market, at least to begin with.

Radeon HD 4860 is a card that fits between Radeon HD 4870 and HD 4850 with the regular RV770 graphics circuit. The card sports 700MHz GPU clock frequency and 3000MHz GDDR5 memory.

Radeon HD 4750 in turn use AMD’s first 40nm desktop GPU, RV740. We questioned the need for another card based on the rare RV740 circuit, HD 4770 is nearly impossible to find, but it maintains that the launch will be exclusive to China to keep up availability.

Whether the two models will find their ways outside the borders of China remains to be seen, but if it does happen we expect AMD’s new DirectX 11 family is right around the corner.
